Over the spring and summer of 2025, the Saskatoon Freeway Functional Planning Study team has hosted two workshops with key stakeholders from urban and rural municipalities. The discussion focused on the freeway connection with Highway 7 and other accesses located west of Saskatoon.
These workshops were scheduled following preliminary feedback received during stakeholder consultations late in 2024.
Participants in the workshops have raised several important issues for consideration, as we continue to study network connectivity and new interchange concepts.
With the first two workshops focused on Highway 7 now complete, a third and final workshop is being planned for early fall. The goal is to develop a shortlist of possible options which will be presented publicly at upcoming in-person and online engagement sessions. The Technical Working Groups, comprised of individuals from surrounding municipalities, will also review the concepts prior to public engagement sessions.
Stay tuned for more information on dates and locations for those engagement sessions.
